Donations to the Foundation Are Now Tax-Deductible

It's official. The IRS has recognized the Joseph P. Niccoli Sr. Foundation, Inc. as a 501(c)(3) public charity. Effective immediately, all donations to the foundation are tax-deductible to the full extent permitted by law.

This is a milestone we've been working toward since we incorporated in March, and it changes things in a meaningful way.

For donors, it means that what you give goes further. Every contribution — whether toward the Annual Joe Niccoli Invitational, a future grant, or the general fund — can now be deducted from your federal taxes. We'll provide written acknowledgment for every donation as required.

For the foundation, it means we can do more. Grants, sponsorships, and charitable programs all become more accessible when donors know their generosity is recognized by the IRS. It opens doors.

We want to be straightforward about something: the tax benefit was never the point. The point was — and remains — finding people close to home who need a hand and showing up for them. But we're glad this makes it easier for people to be part of that.

If you've been thinking about donating, now is a good time. Every dollar goes directly toward the foundation's mission in southeastern Massachusetts. Nothing fancy. Just showing up.
